We are delighted to announce that following our upcoming seminar on consent to sex and relationships for people with disabilities the Centre for Disability Law and Policy will host a special screening of Sanctuary.

The screening will be held in the Institute for Lifecourse and Society, NUI Galway and will be preceded by a small reception, sponsored by Saol Cafe, at 5pm. The screening will start at 6pm.

Tickets will cost €10 and will be available from Centre for Disability Law and Policy from Monday 28th August. All proceeds go to Blue Teapot Theatre Company.

Larry and Sophie are in love. What could be more natural for them than to want to be alone, together? They bribe Tom to book them into a hotel for an afternoon’s tryst and look forward to getting to know each other, like countless couples before them. But Larry and Sophie aren’t any couple – they both have intellectual disabilities and Tom is their care worker. By attempting to be intimate, they aren’t just breaking the rules – they’re breaking the law.
